If the world situation stays on track, this very well could be the first printemps I have missed in France in over twenty years. It isn’t like spring isn’t beautiful everywhere, it certainly is a glorious season on the coast in California. This year, we have all experienced a dark cloud. For some it has been a passing cloud, but for too many it has been much more devastating. The thing about this virus, it has affected everyone on the planet. I can’t think of any event in my lifetime, that has had such a far flung impact. So, I take some comfort when I talk to friends in different parts of the world, we are going through this together.
It does seem that travel and hunting for antiques is unimportant when so many are suffering. In the meantime, we have helped neighbors, followed the rules for sheltering in place, donated, and tried to help local businesses that are suffering, and washing our hands. (With French soap). I’ve also sorted through knitting projects and supplies, organized photos, and worked in the garden.
Please stay well, wash your hands and vote!
I do have some wonderful French soap paired with a vintage French linen towel. Price is $35, including domestic shipping. No two towels are the same, all are vintage and over sized.
